Kanjeevaram Idly (kanchi idly)


  1. rice 1/2 kg
  2. 1/4 kg Urad dal
  3. 2 tea spoons of pepper
  4. 2 tea spoons of Cumin seeds
  5. cashew nuts 50 grams stir-fry 1/2 tea spoon
  6. 5 curls for curry
  7. peanut oil – 150 grams
  8. Enough salt to taste
  9. 1 cup of fermented buttermilk
  10. Rice must be soaked properly and softened


Grind the rice into a bowl and add salt and pepper powder to the bowl .Add the dry cumin seeds and mix it well. In the bowls of the idly for 3 hours next pack in the cooker for 15 – 20 minutes and serve
